Taxiwars at Paard
February 21 @ 21:30 - 23:30 EET€20
In cooperation with PAARD, TaxiWars returns!
TaxiWars is an intensive collaboration between dEUS frontman Tom Barman, saxophonist Robin Verheyen, bassist Nicolas Thys and drummer Antoine Pierre. The music can best be described as a mix of lyricism, poetry and jazz with a rock feel. Their latest album ‘Artificial Horizon’ is a metaphorical step forward from the critically acclaimed 2016 album ‘Fever’.
The band reinvented themselves and came up with something very fresh and personal, tastefully evolving from a cubist jazz sound to a more melodic direction. The band took their music to the next level by adding depth to their compositions, clarity to the beats and efficiency to their overall sound. And so ‘Artificial Horizon’ was born. Full of experimentation and creativity, the album showcases a kaleidoscope of styles and sounds.
